SEMIRA E. ROSE At an early age her father recognized her gift., enrolling her in art classes at Carnegie Mellon Institute.
Encouraged by her father she majored in art in high school. Before moving to Boston in the eighties Semira worked for U.S. Steel Corp. While aquiring an Associates Degree in Design from Newbury College in Boston. After taking a single course in textile design at Mass College of Art, Semira discovered what she enjoys doing and in 1999, she expanded upon her textile designing, creating patterns on various items such as:silk bags,scarves,paper mache' etc. Semira continues to explore artistic creations as an artist and craftsperson. Artists Salvador Dali, Erte'- (whom Semira actually met in Pittsburgh,PA),Vincent Van Gogh, and Henri Matisse'.,are her influences for artistic inspiration.
